On Wednesday May 25, the first grade class planted herbs. Now we have lavender (Munstead), sage (Grower's Friend), rosemary (Gorizia), plain Italian parsley, Genovese sweet basil, and chives.
After planting and watering the herbs, the class enjoyed a snack of lavender lemonade, basil and chive focaccia, sage shortbread cookies and rosemary crackers. They also tasted parsley and sage.
It was a fun and tasty activity.
